White Mischief teams with Whoopee for Hallowe’en
By popular demand, White Mischief is back. While we begin to plan some more of those 1,200+ capacity, festival-like parties for 2009, we’ve succumbed to all the Mischief Makers who have emailed us asking to throw a Hallowe’en ball. Better still, our good friends at Whoopee – who helped us find some of the acts for the very first White Mischief and of course kickstarted the entire UK neo-burlesque movement – are partnering with us to make Friday October 31st the most “spooktacular” imaginable. It’s taken longer than expected for us to announce the night, as we wanted to be sure of finding a venue that will knock your socks off.
And so we’re delighted to reveal that on Hallowe’en, Whoopee and White Mischief will present THE HOUSE OF THE SANDMAN, hosted inside a stunning 1700s mansion in central London. As it is a private residence, entry is strictly limited. No tickets will be available on the door and there is a relatively small number of tickets available compared to our usual events. But once inside you will be exposed to one of the most magnificent abodes in the nation, while surrounded by all the music, magic and performance that you would expect from White Mischief and Whoopee – including a set from White Mischief’s co-founders Tough Love as well as some very special guests. Best of all, the Sandman will invite four guests (or couples) to brave a night sleeping in the bedrooms at the top of the mansion.
Themed for ETA Hoffman’s psychological horror story “Der Sandmann”, we invite you to explore your dreams and your nightmares, bringing life to the inanimate and death to the living. More information on our next show page, or click to find out more about booking tickets.
