“A Moveable Feast” Valentine’s Country House Party
“A Moveable Feast” Valentine’s Country House Party
In a 17th Century private residence 30 minutes by train from London Bridge / Victoria
For £45 (including return coach travel from central London), Mischief Makers can join us
from 9pm for all the entertainment and the Tableau Gourmand part of the evening’s fare.
White Mischief presents a unique night of food and ambient entertainment in a 1600s Inigo Jones country house just outside London. This will be a treat for passionate romantics, cynical poets and all those who recall the splendour of our “Sandman” and “Bluebeard” Georgian mansion parties in ’08 and ’09.
Held just before Valentine’s Day, “A Moveable Feast” marks the first time we have taken over a house outside London. Together with some of the creative team from Boom Boom Club, whose notorious revels at the Old Vic Tunnels wowed London throughout last year, we will pepper an array of up-close performances around the building, including acrobalance, close-up magic, juggling, burlesque, music and story-telling.
THE CABARET
Rebekah Delgado – Singer / Songwriter
The Late Night Shop – Cabaret troupe
Hugo Maciel – Juggler and Stilts-walker
Luna Rosa – Exotic Dancer
Felipe Reyes – Acrobat and Tumbler
Cherry and Ruby – Burlesque Duo
A String Trio performing well-known romantic melodies
A roving gypsy-jazz accordion and trombone duo
A vintage cinema salon will be hosted by Ophelia Bitz’s ArtWank

Win a pair of VIP seats at next Saturday’s House of Hapsburg
Read on for details of our contest to win two pairs of VIP tickets for the House of Hapsburg in London on Saturday June 11th.
Next Saturday, White Mischief is teaming up with Vaudeville Rave to create a party that combines cabaret and circus with electroswing and costumed characters. Everyone who arrives early will get a free cocktail. VIP guests will also receive private entertainment and further tasting experiences.
If you’d like to win a pair of VIP tickets, you can enter into one or both of two contests that we’re running on Facebook and Twitter. What we’re asking entrants to do is come up with the most inventive pairing of two guests (fictional, real, living, dead) who they would like to invite to the House of Hapsburg. So for example: “Charles Dickens and Charlie Sheen” or “Florence Nightingale and Florence and the Machine”.
TO ENTER ON FACEBOOK
Make sure you have RSVPd to our Facebook event page. Then go to your own profile and click on your “Home” or “Profile” tab. Type in your pairing – eg “I’d invite Napoleon Dynamite and Napoleon Bonaparte to” – and finish off by pressing the @ symbol and mentioning our event name. This should create a link to the event House of Hapsburg from White Mischief and Vaudeville Rave. That way we can find all entries – the best will win!
TO ENTER ON TWITTER
Make sure you are following @White_Mischief on Twitter. Then tweet your pairing – eg “I’d invite Stephen Fry and Fry from Futurama to House of Hapsburg” – followed by mentioning @white_mischief. It’s really important that you type in House of Hapsburg and that you mention us – that way we can be sure to find your entries in any searches we do.
WINNER DECIDED TUESDAY 4.30pm
The entry we like the most on Facebook and the entry we like the most on Twitter will win. We will announce the winner on Facebook and Twitter no later than this Tuesday 5 June. If you win and have already bought tickets we can refund you if you wish. You can enter as many times as you like but don’t annoy your friends!
Any questions please email us.

Please RT: ad production company seeks steampunk makers and extras
In these times of economic austerity, I know many an actor and creative type seeking additional ways to supplement their income.
Accordingly I feel duty-bound to spread the word about this opportunity, in case one or more Mischief Makers may want to follow up on it. Note that White Mischief has no connection to the production company or the product being advertised – I am simply the messenger.
ADVERTISER SEEKS STEAMPUNK / VICTORIAN MAKERS AND EXTRAS
AGE – OVER 25
LOCATION – LONDON
Date: 6th MAY from 7am for approx 10-12 hours
FEE: estimated £90 plus reasonable travel expenses (fee may be subject to negotiation depending on what you can offer.)
CONTACT: Jennifer Smith jenny.smith86@gmail.com (office 0207 851 2000 / mobile 07828 401 826).
Jennifer Smith of production company Rattling Stick is seeking Victorian and Steampunk extras for an advert. The product is Tennent’s lager so to fit with legal restrictions on alcohol marketing the extras must be over 25. Also they are looking for people who make or own large impressive steampunk props, particularly steampunk musical instruments.
Please retweet and rebroadcast this message to your followers as they are seeking a decent number of people.
Thanks
Tobias, White Mischief
