White Mischief goes to Brighton
Starting Friday 26 November, White Mischief is launching a smaller spin-off night in Brighton.
Mark your calendars now: we’ll be at the Brighton Ballroom (formerly the Hanbury) on the last Friday of every month, with live music, eye-popping cabaret, and an opportunity to dress up and dance to vintage jazz, soul, rock’n'roll and more.
The Brighton Ballroom has a tremendous heritage and as you’ll see from the photos is really rather exquisite. Whether you’re dining or just there to be entertained, for Londoners it’s the perfect excuse for a romantic weekend away; for Brightonians it’s yet another great night out.

About VIP room tickets

We’re offering a limited number of VIP tickets for our “Haunted Ballroom” party on Saturday October 30.
Note that these tickets have sold out at each of our previous parties, so do book in advance.
If you’d rather not spend too much time on your feet and like the idea of being able to find a seat easily; if you’re prone to getting hot under the collar and you’d like a restful spot in which to cool down; if you prefer quick access to the booze or if you’re just a snooty type who doesn’t like mingling with the rest of us, the VIP room is for you.
VIP tickets get you into the private glass bar, with the following advantages:
- A dedicated private bar
- Air conditioning
- A view over the main stage
- Access to the private balcony over the main stage
- Plentiful seating
- Limited capacity only for VIPs
VIP ticketbuyers can exchange their ticket for a VIP pass on the door. We will be limiting access to the room so that only VIP pass holders can gain entry. We will be selling significantly fewer VIP tickets than the room’s legal capacity, so you can be absolutely sure that buying VIP tickets will secure you a peaceful refuge, an enclave of calm, as well as a perfect spot from which to view the acts.
This is the ideal way to treat your loved one or to celebrate a birthday. Indeed, if you have a group we are offering group discounts on large batches of VIP tickets, so by all means contact us if you would like to order a group of VIP places.
Note that the VIP tickets are limited and have sold out early at all previous events.
Halloween from White Mischief
Le Chateau de Barbe-Bleue (Blue Beard’s Castle) is a Halloween theatritacular from White Mischief. Taking over a secret central London Georgian mansion, we will present a theatritacular that is half party, half show – with interactive character performances and stereophonic soundscapes.
Once the tale has been told and the early hours approach, there will be DJs and dancing; in addition revellers will be able to relax in Blue Beard’s Spa, soothing themselves in the hot mineral waters of a hot tub and luxuriating in the airs of a sauna.
To ensure that the venue is comfortable for all guests we are deliberately limiting the numbers of spaces at this year’s Hallowe’en show. As last year’s Hallowe’en show sold out in advance and we have already sold 20% of the places for this year’s party, we strongly recommend you book now. Prices will rise as each allocation of spaces is used up.
Please visit our Chateau de Barbe-Bleue page for more details on the Halloween party…

NME calls White Mischief 5th best thing of the summer
June 4, 2009 by Tobias

In a list of 49 best things about the summer, White Mischief and steampunk has been rated number five – above lauded music service Spotify! Apparently we’re also almost as good as Chertsey’s finest rollercoasters-and-shellsuits amusement centre Thorpe Park.
We vaudevillian types don’t get our glad rags on hoping to garner the attention of venerable rock inkies like the NME, but somehow White Mischief, Tough Love and the whole steampunk phenomenon has managed to capture their attention.

Tickets for Saturday May 23, “Journey To The Centre Of The Earth”
Advance tickets are still available for this show and, we would predict, will continue to be available until mid-afternoon on Saturday May 23. That said, at the time of writing, (May 22, 2009), 75% of the tickets have sold. The early bird discount tickets and the VIP room tickets have all gone, leaving only standard priced tickets available.
You can either book tickets online or in person.
- To book online, click on our link to TicketWeb
- We will hold back a few tickets at the door on the night but they will be £25, so we strongly recommend that you book ahead and pay the more reasonable £17.50!
- Groups of six or more can get group discounts – but please note that last chance for group bookings is today (Friday 22 May) – contact us right away for details
- To book in person with no booking fee:
- Visit the Scala box office 10am-6pm Mon to Friday (275 Pentonville Road, King’s Cross, London, N1 9NL)
- It is possible to purchase tickets in person with no booking fee from Lulu and Lush, 15 Lamb Street, Spitalfields; and Bordello, 55 Great Eastern Street, Shoreditch
Be sure to book in advance, as several of our previous shows have sold out well in advance of the night itself.
Group discounts available
Groups of six or more can still benefit from discounts, whether you’re in a birthday party or just a gang of friends.
We have run out of VIP room space but regular tickets are still available, so if you know a bunch of people who are planning to go to White Mischief on Saturday May 23, drop us a line.
The more people that book, the bigger the discount.
Contact us on whitemischiefnight@gmail.com for more information.
Not long until Saturday May 23…
Count down the days as it’s not long until “Journey To The Centre Of The Earth”, White Mischief’s spectacular vaudeville show and late-night party.
We’re delighted to announce a few additions to the bill including vintage DJ extraordinare COUNT SIZZLE and blues singer THOMAS FORD. That’s adding to an already chock-full bill featuring aerialists, chainsaw juggling, interactive theatre and much more.
Tickets are now over 70% sold out and all the VIP room tickets have gone. We will hold a few tickets back for the door but as they’ll be priced at £25 it’s a much better idea to book in advance now and get the regular price of £17.50. Remember, we offer group discounts, so if you’re in a birthday party or just have a gang of six or more, contact us to arrange a group booking.
If you’re wondering what to wear, well our policy is that it’s not compulsory to dress up, but we love it if you do enter into the spirit of things. So come as your most spectacular self – any era from the 1890s to the 1950s is a great start – and if you really want to push the boat out, try something that fits the theme…explorers, miners, adventurers, Victorians and steampunks. See our list of dressup inspirations for more.
Check our list of recommended costume hire and vintage retailers (we particularly highlight Prangsta, which is offering a 30% discount; Lulu and Lush, who are presenting the Circa Burlesque show on Saturday 23rd at White Mischief; and Bordello, who are offering a 10% discount.)
