Oct 18 2010: We have now sold out of advance tickets.
Oct 13 2010: Officially we have sold out of our advance ticket allocation, though as so many of you have written in begging for tickets, we’ve decided to release 50 standard tickets that we had been holding back to sell on the door.
Read on for full details, or if you just want to get ordering then visit the ticket page now.
What’s the deal?
There are still over two weeks to go before Saturday October 30, when Scala in King’s Cross plays host to WHITE MISCHIEF “The Haunted Ballroom“. We have sold a greater volume of tickets than ever before, in a shorter period of time than ever before. We understand that many guests will have been caught unawares by this, expecting that they should be able to get tickets two weeks before the party. This afternoon people have been writing in asking how they can get tickets, or worrying because their friends have places but they don’t.
The good news
Firstly we’re overjoyed to announce some more acts that we had been keeping up our sleeves as a final surprise. David McAlmont, the astonishing singer who has collaborated with composers Michael Nyman and David Arnold as well as with Bernard Butler, will take to the stage early in the night to enchant us with his magnificent voice. Later in the evening expect some thrust-and-parry from swordfighters LiveBlades. There will be a few more sideshows and walkabout performers added in the coming days, too.
The other bit of good news is that we kept aside 50 tickets to be sold on the door at £30 each. But seeing as we’ve received half a dozen begging letters already this afternoon, we have decided to put this final allocation up for sale so that you can be confident that your place is safe and can begin to plan your splendid outfits.
What’s the damage?
The price will be £28.25 per ticket. With service fee each ticket will come to £29.95 and there’s no postage charge. So you’ll be able to get these tickets in advance for less than it would have cost on the door. And these tickets are still cheaper than three of the other major parties on the alternative scene taking place over the Halloween weekend.
These are standard tickets.
Sorry, there are no more VIP tickets available…. so please don’t ask. They sold out over a month ago.
Any more questions please email us.

Tickets for Saturday May 23, “Journey To The Centre Of The Earth”
Advance tickets are still available for this show and, we would predict, will continue to be available until mid-afternoon on Saturday May 23. That said, at the time of writing, (May 22, 2009), 75% of the tickets have sold. The early bird discount tickets and the VIP room tickets have all gone, leaving only standard priced tickets available.
You can either book tickets online or in person.
- To book online, click on our link to TicketWeb
- We will hold back a few tickets at the door on the night but they will be £25, so we strongly recommend that you book ahead and pay the more reasonable £17.50!
- Groups of six or more can get group discounts – but please note that last chance for group bookings is today (Friday 22 May) – contact us right away for details
- To book in person with no booking fee:
- Visit the Scala box office 10am-6pm Mon to Friday (275 Pentonville Road, King’s Cross, London, N1 9NL)
- It is possible to purchase tickets in person with no booking fee from Lulu and Lush, 15 Lamb Street, Spitalfields; and Bordello, 55 Great Eastern Street, Shoreditch
Be sure to book in advance, as several of our previous shows have sold out well in advance of the night itself.
All tickets are now available through TicketWeb or the venue

Just a reminder that we are now selling all tickets to White Mischief: “Journey To The Centre Of The Earth” through TicketWeb, or alternatively if you wish to get hold of tickets without the usual booking fee then you can go in person to the venue, which is Scala, 275 Pentonville Road, King’s Cross, London N1 9NL.
This being the start of summer, we’re selling fewer tickets than at the last Scala show, in a bid to ensure that it doesn’t get quite as rammed as last time. But we’ve already sold over 40% of the tickets so please do ensure you book in advance. There are also a few places left for the VIP room – which has air conditioning, seating, its own bar and a view over the main stage – but not many are left, so if you feel like going VIP it’s a good idea to book very soon.
Finally if you’re in a group of six or more you can contact us for group discounts.

Mindful of the credit-crunchiness of the economy 2009 style, we’re continuing our super-cheap no-postage-charge no-booking-fee offer until the end of today, meaning that sometime during Tuesday May 5 the ticket price will rise and you’ll be charged for postage and booking as with most other ticket providers. Lots of you have been taking advantage of our offer so if you’re sitting around browsing Facebook or wondering what to do with your debit card, let us provide you with the answer: buy yourself a few tickets to the May 23 White Mischief “Journey To The Centre Of The Earth”. Well over a third of all tickets have now gone with three weeks to go until the night itself. So visit our ticket booking page while you can.

If you’re planning to go to our neo-Victorian vaudevillian extravaganza on bank holiday Saturday May 23, we strongly advise that you book ahead as we’ve sold over a third of all the tickets so far and there’s still just under a month to go. We’ve been running a discounted ticket offer whereby earlybirds can buy tickets at £14.95 each with no booking fee or postage charge. These places are now also nearly sold out, so if you want to get the cheap tickets we advise you to move fast.
However, we acknowledge that these are credit crunch times, so we will keep them on sale until after payday. This means that you have until Tuesday May 5 to buy your discounted tickets from http://whitemischief.eventbrite.com - after that tickets will rise to £17.50 plus booking fee.

How ticket prices work

A couple of people have written in to ask how the ticket price structure works. It’s pretty simple, but allow us to elucidate in detail.
The early-bird tickets, which were priced at £10 each, are now all sold out. We’re just about to announce White Mischief properly, and the standard price for all general admission tickets ordered now is £15 each. This price will last throughout March and April; in May the price will go up to £20. Finally, tickets purchased on the door will be £25.
Book now – 80% sold out

Five days to go until White Mischief: “From The Earth To The Moon” takes flight! We have now sold 80% of all tickets, so please do book ahead now while you still can. By ordering now, you can take advantage of our discount; furthermore you can be guaranteed swift passage into the building. While there will be tickets on the door on the night, they will be more expensive and you may have to queue a little.
A few of you have asked whether there is a smoking area at the venue, and the answer is yes: there is an outdoor smoking patio accessible from the main stage, so you won’t even have to leave the venue. Some people have asked us whether they need to dress up: the answer is that we encourage people to get into the spirit of the occasion, although dressing up is not compulsory. For anyone seeking a quick yet top-notch means of putting together the finest outfit, we recommend Prangsta above all others. If you have any questions about the night, don’t hesitate to contact us.
