Oct 30th sold out – details on returns / waiting list here

October 18, 2010 by
Filed under Oct 30 2010 show

All standard and VIP advance tickets for “The Haunted Ballroom” on October 30th are now sold out. The eagle-eyed among you may note that we previously had 50 last tickets available but they have all gone now too. Well done to those of you who secured your ticket in plenty of good time – you’ll be able to walk in when the doors open at 9pm.

There will be no further tickets available on the door until after approximately midnight, when most of the performances have ended and the first guests begin to leave. Then, assuming there is space, we will let people in at the door. This will be at the discretion of the venue and is best suited to people who are coming in from another party as obviously the main acts will have finished.

Currently we have zero tickets at hand. However we will be accepting returns, so if you can no longer attend and would like to approach us for a refund, we will consider applications. Please get the person who booked the tickets to write to us with details of how many tickets you would like to return.

If anyone returns their ticket we will be able to make it available to another guest, dependent upon demand and availability. New tickets will be £30 and we will need to receive funds via a bank transfer or in cash before sending out tickets. To put your name on the waiting list for returned tickets please fill in this form.

Don’t hesitate to write to us if you have any questions about the above.

Finally if all this sounds like too much bother and you’d just like to go to a bloomin’ great Halloween party then we strongly recommend a separate party - Steamboat Bordello - on October 31st. Featuring The Correspondents among other acts, this party is on board a paddle steamer which appears to have mistaken the Thames for the Mississippi! It’s hosted by our friends at Last Days of Decadence, who are offering a £5 discount to White Mischief guests. To get the discount, visit Ticketweb, pull down Promo Offer 2, and type in “whitemischief50″ as the promo code.

How to get your hands on the last 50 tickets

Oct 18 2010: We have now sold out of advance tickets.

Oct 13 2010: Officially we have sold out of our advance ticket allocation, though as so many of you have written in begging for tickets, we’ve decided to release 50 standard tickets that we had been holding back to sell on the door.

Read on for full details, or if you just want to get ordering then visit the ticket page now.

What’s the deal?

There are still over two weeks to go before Saturday October 30, when Scala in King’s Cross plays host to WHITE MISCHIEF “The Haunted Ballroom“. We have sold a greater volume of tickets than ever before, in a shorter period of time than ever before. We understand that many guests will have been caught unawares by this, expecting that they should be able to get tickets two weeks before the party. This afternoon people have been writing in asking how they can get tickets, or worrying because their friends have places but they don’t.

The good news

Firstly we’re overjoyed to announce some more acts that we had been keeping up our sleeves as a final surprise. David McAlmont, the astonishing singer who has collaborated with composers Michael Nyman and David Arnold as well as with Bernard Butler, will take to the stage early in the night to enchant us with his magnificent voice. Later in the evening expect some thrust-and-parry from swordfighters LiveBlades. There will be a few more sideshows and walkabout performers added in the coming days, too.

The other bit of good news is that we kept aside 50 tickets to be sold on the door at £30 each. But seeing as we’ve received half a dozen begging letters already this afternoon, we have decided to put this final allocation up for sale so that you can be confident that your place is safe and can begin to plan your splendid outfits.

What’s the damage?

The price will be £28.25 per ticket. With service fee each ticket will come to £29.95 and there’s no postage charge. So you’ll be able to get these tickets in advance for less than it would have cost on the door. And these tickets are still cheaper than three of the other major parties on the alternative scene taking place over the Halloween weekend.

These are standard tickets.

Sorry, there are no more VIP tickets available…. so please don’t ask. They sold out over a month ago.

Any more questions please email us.
