Dickon Edwards is a London-based writer, flâneur, songwriter, musician, dysfunctional dandy and DJ who wowed the dancefloor at the last White Mischief and will be returning to get our partygoers on their feet on Saturday June 7.

Since 1997 Dickon has kept a celebrated Internet Diary, making it one of the UK’s longest running ‘blogs’. This dubious qualification means he now appears on TV documentaries about blogging, like BBC1’s ‘Imagine’. One side-effect of Being Dickon Edwards is DJ-ing at stylish club nights like The Beautiful & Damned, which Time Out called ‘unmissable’. He’s also played to a huge tent of happy dancing people at the 2007 Latitude Festival.

Another side-effect is being in bands such as Fosca, who have been featured on the late John Peel’s show and have toured the UK, France, Greece and Sweden; and Orlando, whose album, “Passive Soul” scored 8/10 in NME and made it into the Melody Maker Critics’ Top 20 Albums for that year.

He’s written the Afterword for a new edition of Jerome K Jerome’s 1886 work, The Idle Thoughts Of An Idle Fellow (Snowbooks, Autumn 2004), and has also graced the pages of The Decadent Handbook (Dedalus Books). His short stories have started to pop up in odd places, such as the liner notes for an album by Sweden’s This Year’s Model.

He maintains his appearance so his friends can spot him in a crowd and his enemies can see him coming. Mr Edwards lives alone in one rented furnished room in Highgate, London N6, UK. He enjoys drinking sake, reading Saki and being sarky.
