Some old friends, like Professor Elemental, the Cakewalk Lounge and the Rubbish Sideshow Circus, are coming back, and we’ve got some new friends, like Gypsy Hill, Drunken Balordi and the bassline-driven Ubertown folks, joining in the fun.

In partnership with the French Bureau Music Export and Eurostar and Ricard, the “Vive La France” series of gigs launched in early 2010 at Favela Chic in Shoreditch London. A special edition was held at Glastonbury in June 2010 and February 2011 RichMix sees a similarly special edition saluted into existence. Every month Vive la France at Favela Chic has brought you incredibly talented guest performers from the beautiful country of Camembert. For this special occasion, the oh-so-bizarre and divine acts Le KKC Orchestra and La Caravane Passe, head to RichMix for something quite extraordinary.
You can expect sounds of gypsy, drum and bass, vintage swing and sweet sweet rock, hip hop, baile funk and cumbia.
La Caravane Passe
With roots steeped in Eastern Europe, Toma Feterman gathered a crew who set out to play the best in Balkan beats. Fiscorn harmonies and a mixture of gypsy rock and cabaret; these guys are pioneers in a world where new music is a rarity and originality golden. They’re a retro, futuristic trip to the moon…and France…and Eastern Europe…and now, London.

Le KKC Orchestra
Le KKC is about all things electronica, hip hop and swing. Recently featuring alongside The Correspondents at Favela Chic’s birthday party, the English embraced any lack of understanding thanks to the universal language of great music. Seriously fun vibe – feel good – dance easy – party hard.
