This Hallowe’en White Mischief present Le Château de Barbe-Bleue, a creepy All Hallow’s Eve extravaganza to thrill all the senses. The event – open to only a very limited number of partygoers – will combine party with an interactive theatrical experience, telling the terrifying tale of Barbe-Bleue, a sinister aristocrat whose many wives meet a very bloody end.

What to expect at le Chateau de Barbe Bleue
A sumptuous secret central London private Georgian mansion
We will be taking over all three floors of an exqusite 1700s house designed by Robert Adam with additional features built in the Victorian era. The address will be revealed in the week running up to the party, only to those who have secured their invitation.

Morbid inhabitants! Haunted sounds! Show!
Guests will be able to explore four themed rooms of Blue Beard’s Castle, meeting its morbid inhabitants face-to-face while hearing the haunted sounds and music of the Château everywhere they go. Performance will be found in unexpected corners of the splendidly horrific building, drawing influence from the original Charles Perrault story, the silent George Melies film adaptation and the opera by Bela Bartok. There will be a brief show experience where revellers will witness the climactic scene where Blue Beard’s wife enters the forbidden chamber.
Silent disco!
In addition to the expected noisy DJ and dancing, and as well as elements of cabaret and vaudeville, later in the night we will be hosting one of the rooms as a silent disco with wireless stereo headphones.
Dressing up is not compulsory but certainly encouraged

Book your places now to avoid disappointment!
To ensure a comfortable environment for our guests we are limiting the number of available places to a far smaller figure than last year.
Given that last year’s event sold out in advance with a larger number of available places, advance booking will be absolutely necessary this year: the event will sell out. Indeed at the time of writing (October 23, 2009) nearly all the places have gone and only a tiny handful remain.
All £30 and £35 places are still available at the time of writing. Just a few tickets remain at £40.
